The specials are always a favorite of my husband. If price is an issue, it is a great place to have some drinks and appetizers. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. We always recommend Azur to visitors in Lexington. Great patio in springtime/summer. Lexington is fortunate to have the cutting edge cuisine that Azur serves. Favorites - gruyere fondue, pimento beer cheese sandwich, sweet potato fries/chips, woven shrimp, lamb burger, grilled chicken sandwich, lexington broil."

It is true fine dining with the service that goes along with it, and the menu is more eclectic than anyplace else in its league in town. Given most Lexingtonians' preference for chain restaurants and simplistic American cuisine, I'm happily surprised that AZUR has managed to succeed in Lexington for five years. It is truly a dining experience that is not typical Lexington and is more like what you would find in a place like New York City or South Beach."

First off look at the top 100 restaurants in town, number 21 in [name withheld], yes you read that right [name withheld], so please take what you read on here with a grain of salt since most people have no clue on what is quality food.
I found Azur to be one of the most unique and inspiring dining experiences in Lexington. The menu is packed with flavorful ingredients and awe inspiring flavors. The duck is spectacular and more importantly well cooked and came out in an artful presentation. Yes, you will spend more for dinner, but I would prefer spending the extra money to weed out the individuals with no clue on what is actually good food."

I must also compliment our waitress, who was simply a joy.

From 7/23 email: "I just wanted to provide a note of appreciation to the chef. I’m a foodie, who has a short list of 2-3 restaurants in Lexington I frequent (honestly, I dine mostly at Dudley’s). After traveling the country for many years on business eating at top-rated restaurants, the Lexington restaurant scene has continually disappointed. Thus, I have not visited Azur until this week and did so after reading a Yelp review from a Californian who put Azur in the same sentence as Holly Hill. That’s all I needed to give Azur a shot.
I’m very impressed with Chef’s creativity and execution. I’ll be back, including bringing my customer and colleagues to your Bourbon dinner. Chef is obviously very talented and will continue to get better and better as he appears to have the full freedom to explore and create. A compliment as well, to all the owners for not getting in the way of the Chef! Tell Chef that he has a new fan."

The food at Azur is unique, fresh, and always spectacular. The flavors and presentation are excellent. I would gladly pay more for the experience. Not to mention the great wine and bourbon lists. I highly recommend the domaine de la patience merlot (2005). I have tried several menu items and have never been dissapointed. Also, the service is always wonderful. Entree + glass of wine @ $30. Sit on the patio and make the experience that much more wonderful!"

The live music was such a great addition to the already perfect ambiance. We had the lobster crepes as an appetizer which was creamy and scrumptious followed by both of the specials the lamb and seafood trio of sea bass, shark, and scallops it was more than delicious best meal in a while. The presentation was creative and added to the overall success of the entire meal..all of this plus two cocktails was only $85 which is definitely worth it tenfold. The service was quick and personable...a hidden gem for Lexington!"
